On Friday 06 March 2020 took place the closing ceremony of the 2nd edition of the course called “Intervention on Improvised Explosive Devices”. This internship, which began on January 13, 2020, saw the participation of 14 interns from Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Niger, Chad and Togo. The beneficiaries of this internship are confirmed specialists in the EOD sector having reached level 3, endowed with a certain experience in the treatment of the explosive threat and coming from a recognized official organization (army, regular entity of protection of the High Authorities , structures for the protection of strategic infrastructures, etc.…).
This second edition, which once again meets the ever-growing demand for personnel capable of neutralizing and destroying improvised explosive devices on the African continent, was carried out for two months, both in rainy and sunny weather, at night as well as by day. Two reinforcements, one from Benin and the other from France, enhanced this edition of their presence and spared no effort to put all their experience to the benefit of the learners.
Of the 14 trainees who took part in the second edition, 11 were declared admitted, ie a success rate of 78.57%. The closing ceremony, chaired by the Director of the Center, was enhanced by the presence of the French Defense Attaché near Benin.
